This session provides participants with a wide range of examples of how religious congregations are involved in community building, including direct service projects with children and the homeless, interfaith dialogue and racial healing, faith-based community organizing, street ministry and violence prevention, support for immigrants and economic development. Participants share with one another their own interests and experiences with faith-based community action and will look at both the opportunities and challenges presented by the faith sector.
