Dear Colleagues and Friends of Craigslist Foundation,

After a decade of innovation in support of stronger nonprofits and communities in the Bay Area and nationwide, Craigslist Foundation will wind down operations, celebrate its successes, and transition its programs to new homes. This decision was made by our board and staff, in consultation with craigslist, Inc, whose philanthropy is now focused on supporting numerous worthy charities via its Charitable Fund. We owe a special thanks to craigslist for ten years of generous financial support and partnership, and for lending its name to our efforts.

In the coming weeks, our staff will work diligently to distill the lessons learned over ten years, and to find appropriate homes for our three key programs: Nonprofit Boot Camp (ready for its 9th Annual event), LikeMinded (ready for its next iteration after 9 months of user experience), and Alliance Building (building a network of community builders).

Thank you for your engagement with us over the years as we strived to augment the effectiveness of emerging nonprofits and strengthen the fabric of local communities and neighborhoods. The entire Craigslist Foundation team looks forward to making continued progress in other ways and at other organizations as we all move forward.

Sincerely yours,

The first game asks you to vote on one “the most important issues facing your local community” and will help shape topics of sessions at Boot Camp. The second one asks “what would you like to experience, participate in or learn at Boot Camp?” and will directly impact the specific sessions, presenters and themes explored at Boot Camp.

Update: Voting is now closed. Thank you.

<del>Ready to play? Jump right in with the two games below, powered by All Our Ideas:</del>

<del>You can vote as many times as you like, and the tool will put new issues side by side. If you can’t decide between two issues, click “I can’t decide.” If you would like to add your own issue, please keep it very brief, and it can’t be longer than 140 characters! Thanks for playing.</del>
